In our house this week, the camera was off during much of our school time, but we are having fun learning about Australia and kangaroos {I’ll be sharing more next week}. This past weekend though we did have a LOT of fun visiting the Air and Space Museum near Dulles Airport.
Kaleb was MOST impressed with the plane above and made sure that I had numerous pictures of it. I’m sure it had NOTHING to do with the video clip that they had playing nearby, showing the plane as a Transformer. {grins}
He also made sure that I had four pictures of the camouflaged plane. Just because it was cool.
Seeing the Discovery up close – very amazing.
Spending time together as a family and with friends we don’t get to see often was just as much fun though. It was a FABULOUS trip – and one that I’m glad we were able to make!!

That looks like an AWESOME field trip – my eight year old would have loved it!

Fun! Is this the museum in or near Herndon? If so, do you feel like it has options/exhibits for preschoolers?
I think the one in downtown DC is more preschool friendly – that one has an entire room with hands-on activities. The one near Dulles airport {that’s this one} is mainly planes and things you can look at – but not touch. There are a few interactive things, but not really preschool-related.
What a fun time!! I love how many fun field trips we can go on as homeschoolers. My sister teaches K, and she’s always frustrated at the limitations on choices because of the bus fees, etc.
I suppose our bus fees are gas receipts. :) But I’m willing to pay it!! :)
Ha, yeah, but we don’t have to hire the bus drivers, or make sure there are enough chaperones…there’s always enough. :p
