Moments to Remember was developed as a simple way to look back on our week as homeschoolers and find photos that encompass the memories we want to remember.

The week may have been tough, there may have been more bumps than smiles, but in the end these are the moments that keep us going, the ones we need to remember.

What’s so special about the above picture? It just made me smile since it was our second day back to school after break and Laurianna was so excited about her new math book. Enough so that she started her work early that morning and was reading it out loud and laughing with McKenna about it during breakfast.

The fact that we can sit, eat breakfast, and do school in our pajamas just makes me happy. :)

  1. Makes me happy too, Jolanthe!  And, it makes me happier to see someone else besides myself serving up Eggo’s and syrup for breakfast–LOL!  Truly, you don’t know how that made my day.  Have a wonderful weekend!

    • I’m telling you, that Eggo syrup container is the BEST thing! I clean it out each time we empty it and we can fill it with our own syrup. :) The container doesn’t drip at all, so the kids don’t make a huge mess. I bought them on Amazon since our store doesn’t sell them anymore and my mom kept throwing out my containers!

We LOVE Life of Fred! My son is up to Beginning Algebra. We just loaned all of our previous books to a younger friend who desperately dislikes math and her mom reported yesterday that she is LOVING it!!!! So thankful for the many options in homeschooling!

  3. I have been so curious about Life of Fred. I’m wondering if it would be what my #2 needs. He spends every other day is a heap on the floor over his math.

    • We’ve only been using it a week now, but it is a fun and laid-back approach. Laurianna already finished Teaching Textbooks 5 this year {another program we love} and she is now on TT 6 and doing a lesson in Life of Fred every other day along with Teaching Textbooks. If you haven’t checked into Teaching Textbooks, I would highly recommend that program as well. Our oldest two are using it and we’ll start the younger ones on it as soon as they hit third grade.

  4. I love that about homeschooling to!

  5. I really like almost everything you like….seeing Longaberger on the table confirms it.

  6. I Love This!! Pure Awesomeness. Thank you for sharing.

  7. YAy! so glad this link up is back! And I love the look on her face – too much excitement! :D

  8. What a fun memory!  I look forward to moments like this! I need to do a better job documenting them!  When you have minute can you send me the info about which wheat grinder you have?  Also whats the name of the thing you used to make your dough for the pizza the other night?  Just doing some research and planning :-)
