Several of you linked up some neat nature learning ideas last week – and I wanted to make sure they were seen!
This bark painting idea from An Idea on a Tuesday – oh my goodness. I love the rustic look and all the fun that kids can have painting on pieces of bark. Not only will you be getting outdoors to find your ‘canvas’, but you’ll have a cool piece of artwork at the end.
If you have a few trees in a brush pile, you could use slices of them to make these ABC Tree blocks that Rubber Boots and Elf Shoes shares. It’s also a great way to squeeze a little science in by checking out the tree’s rings and how old it was!
Nature tables and sensory bins are another great way to bring the outdoors inside and enjoy some hands-on learning. Welcome to Mommyhood shares her thoughts on how slowing down and enjoying the time with her son helped them connect in so many different ways. (Some good thoughts!).
That’s the summary from last week – what have you been up to recently?
