It’s homeschool convention season! Are you ready and planning to attend any?  Personally, I LOVE this time of year because it gives me a hands-on look at curriculum, a chance to hear some fabulous speakers, gain lots of inspiration and ideas, recharge for the rest of the year – and prep for the upcoming year as well.

This year I am so excited (and nervous!) to be speaking at three locations with Teach Them Diligently: Nashville, TN: Spartansburg, SC; and Washington, DC. I’d love to meet you at one!

There are homeschool conventions at the local, state, and national level. Here are a few that you may want to consider:

Tips for Attending a Homeschool Convention

There are definitely a few things to consider before packing up and heading out to a convention – especially to make sure you get the MOST out of it! Last year I shared my ten tips for attending a homeschool convention. You can read the full post here, but this is the nutshell version:

1. Determine your budget before you go.
2. Bring your spouse or a friend.
3. Review the speaker and workshop schedule before you arriving.
4. Attend workshops and take notes.
5. Ask lots of questions!
6. Make a list of what you are looking for and know the prices before heading out the door.
7. Bring a rolling cart or something to haul around all of your goodies.
8. Register ahead of time (and save money!).
9. Wear comfortable shoes.
10. Take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy it!
