A few months ago, one of my blogging friends Amy from Walking by the Way {and also Homeschool Share} asked if I would help spread the word about a little something she is doing to help some friends bring their Ethiopian daughter, Biruk Abigail, home!
Amy has put together a shop called Pocketful of Rosies where she has created headbands, earrings, bobby pins and clip sets with GORGEOUS handmade resin flowers and the sweetest names to go along with them. Names like Sugar Plum Fairy, Maid Marian, and Sing a Song of Sixpence…tell me those aren’t sweet!
She sent me a few things for the girls ~ a set of bobby pins called Kingdom by the Sea along with a pair of pink posies earrings. The moment the package arrived, it was met with squeals of delight and hijacked by Laurianna. She recently had her ears pierced and was so excited to wear the new earrings.
The pieces are so ‘girly’ and beautifully detailed. In a word ~ lovely!! I turned right around and purchased more pieces from her shop because I know each purchase supports a wonderful cause. Amy is donating every penny she makes toward helping bring Biruk Abigail home.
You can help too!! Visit Pocketful of Rosies and browse around a bit. I’m sure you’ll find some things that you’ll fall in love with. Shipping and handling is very reasonable too. For the three pieces that I purchased, my s/h was only $2.75. Definitely affordable and perfect to put a little color and ‘pretty’ in your day!
