So…out of curiousity, did anyone do school this week? We’re all busy playing with the fun new toys and getting ready to start back up again. My schedule says we are starting Monday, but I’m thinking we may see what we can fiddle around with and start a little later.
Ahhh…the beauty of homeschooling. :)
How was your Christmas? I hope you all had an amazing time together with your family and are enjoying a bit of a rest and break!

I hold an in home preschool with our playgroup kids, and they all thought I was crazy for having regular school this week, but it was nice to teach about what New Years is and we did a book study of, “The Snowy Day.” It ended up being a great week, now I just feel as behind as ever in trying to get things ready to rumble next week :)
I had the week off and I still feel behind!! :) I saw the stuff you did for Snowy Day ~ that’s one of the things on our January list!
We took of Friday last week and Wednesday this week. Besides that we worked like normal =)
Yep, this was a week of play and rest for us. I am busy prepping for the new year with school, but we all needed to just hang low as we are now a home with now guests. It feels good to have some R&R. I am getting excited to be back to routine though. Looking forward to starting up next week.
Yep, we are taking the week to play and rest. We all needed it, now that we do not have any guests. I am busy prepping for the new year, but for now, we are hanging low. Getting excited to start up again though.
Hi Jolanthe! We’ve taken a 2 week break at our house. The daddy of our fam is a teacher/coach and is home with us, so we just kick back relax and enjoy time together as a family. I am gearing up today for a few fun New Year’s activities. I will link up when I blog about it. Happy New Year to you and yours. Thanks for all you do and provide for us mommies! You are amazing!
Actually,I feel a little guilty I havent homeschooled for about one month. I moved to a new house tried to have xmas at the house.Had two birthday parties and boxes still need to be unpacked. I am hoping to start schooling on Monday.
we went through a crazy few months at the beginning of last year when we unexpectedly sold our house and moved ~ I KNOW how crazy it can be. Give yourself some time!!! :)
We’ve had a light month, but I only have preschoolers, so it doesn’t matter too much in our house. This week is mostly playing with new games and puzzles! :)
We’re trying to be on a break over here, but the 2.5yo keeps demanding “SCHOOLWORK!” =p
haha!!!
We did school simply because I knew if I put if off it would be harder to get back into the routine!
