Moments to Remember was developed as a simple way to look back on our week as homeschoolers and find photos that encompass the memories we want to remember. The week may have been tough, there may have been more bumps than smiles, but in the end these are the moments that keep us going, the ones we need to remember.
I’m not necessarily a frilly girl. I rarely do anything to my nails {other than trim them}, but have a certain daughter who is all things girly and all things frilly.
Truth be told, she has way more fashion sense than I do. Sad, but true.
She has been wanting me to do some cute things with her nails. After much grumbling, I caved in to the demands and started looking around Pinterest for some fingernail decorating ideas to do with her. Fortunately we were able to find some fun {i.e. cheap} polish at the Dollar Tree.
Last week we tried panda bears. This week, we tried making fingernails that look like watermelons. To prove that I can be a wee bit girly, I even did one of my pinky nails to go along with hers {some day I’ll graduate to doing all of them!!}.
It’s silly, yes, but we’re spending some quiet time together doing something she enjoys ~ and that makes it something special to remember.
And p.s. I’ll take any fun ideas you have for nails!!!

Super cute!
Very cute!! I am so not girly and actually can’t paint my own nails :-P
My my 2 yo DD has lady bug boots that are starting to fall apart but they are her pride and joy. Helps that she gets them on and off correctly by herself. Of course, I have nice shoes that she will wear to bed and change as soon as she wakes up. Boy has she been super pleased when I painted a ladybug on my bIg right toe!!!
My sister, now 31 years old, was remembering this weekend how 4 years ago she did red, white and blue for the Olympics. She was going shopping for fun nail polish on her way home today to get ready for next week! Go USA!!!!
I was thinking that for this week or trying to come up with an Olympic rings idea of some sort ~ will be fun!!
We don’t wear makeup in our house (including nail polish) but I really love the watermelon nails.
